Holiday Loghouse Ankum: enjoy nature and beautiful scenery in Lower Saxony, Germany
Since 2006 the Dutch owners of this loghouse, Henk and Annette, live in Ankum. Every day they enjoy the beautiful scenery around this village. 2009 they bought another original Norwegian loghouse across the street, which needed serious renovation. Within half a year they changed it into a cosy little guesthouse, with a great view over the fields.
The village of Ankum lays in the northern part of the Unesco Geopark “Terra Vita”. This area is characterized by gorgeous, hilly landscape and multiple cultural-historical sights. At a few kilometers distance of the village you find the Artland Golfclub, a beautiful 18-holes golf course with a nice restaurant and terrace. If you love the variation of woods and open country, Ankum is definitely the place to be!
The historic village of Ankum – with the impressive romanesque “Artlander Dom” church in the center – offers you a lot of diversion: various restaurants, pubs, cinema, indoor swimmingpool, hairdressers, shops (clothing, shoes, drugstore, gifts, flowers, books, supermarkets, etc). If you want to see more, visit a theater or museum, Osnabrück (35 km) is the nearest town. It has a nice “Altstadt”(historical city center).
