Unless otherwise specified, one piece of sporting equipment may be checked in lieu of one piece of luggage, as long as it is packaged in a suitable container, and is less than 50 lbs and 62 linear inches. Sporting equipment checked in addition to the free baggage allowance is charged an excess fee. Items over 115 linear inches or 100 lbs will not be accepted as checked baggage. There is a fee charged in all situations for some equipment.
Note: If a bag is both oversize and overweight, the higher fee is charged.
